The Wyoming State Board of Nursing proposes to amend Chapter 2-Licensure/Certification Requirements and Chapter 5 - Fees. The revisions in Chapters 2 and 5 are intended to reflect language recently enacted in the Nurse Practice Act, including the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Compact. The amendments also add an incorporation by reference for producing public records, add fees to cover additional operations expenses, and update licensure competencies to ensure public safety. The proposed amendments also add definitions specific to the chapters and restructure sections for clarity.

Copies of the proposed amended rules may be viewed on the Board’s website at https://nursing-online.state.wy.us, obtained by an email request to cynthia.labonde@wyo.gov or obtained by a written request addressed to the Wyoming State Board of Nursing, 130 Hobbs Ave., Suite B, Cheyenne, WY 82002 after September 26, 2017. Written comments may be submitted to the Board at the email or office address noted above on or before November 13, 2017.        

A public hearing will be held if requested by 25 persons, a governmental subdivision, or by an association having not less than 25 members. Requests for a public hearing may be addressed as indicated above.
